NJORD is developing its proprietary AWES (Airborne Wind Energy Systems) system, which offers a modern alternative to conventional wind turbines. This innovative solution is designed for locations requiring a high degree of mobility and rapid deployment without the need to build permanent infrastructure.

Energy from high altitudes

The system uses energy kites operating at altitudes of up to one kilometre, where the wind is significantly stronger and more stable than at ground level. The aerodynamic structure, with a wing area exceeding 120 m², transfers the generated force to a mobile ground station for conversion into electricity.

System mobility and scalability

The main advantage of AWES technology is that it does not require the construction of foundations and allows for the easy transport of the containerised unit. It is an ideal solution for areas without a reliable power supply and for projects requiring energy independence in challenging terrain.
